Theft & Security: How to Protect Your E-Scooter
Sebastian
Published onTheft is a real issue in cities. The biggest lever is simple: leave it outside as little as possible. A foldable scooter is ideal for this, as you can take it into your apartment, office, or even some shops.
If you do have to park it, use a solid lock and choose highly visible locations. A removable battery also helps: without the battery, the scooter is less attractive and not immediately rideable.
Routine is another form of protection. Don’t always park in the same spot, avoid leaving loose parts on the scooter, and check that lights and reflectors are clearly visible. Security is the sum of many small decisions.
