E-scooter with shared service or private ownership?
According to the survey conducted by the McKinsey Center for Future Mobility in July 2021, 70% of respondents said they would use micro-mobility for their daily commute.
In fact, it appears that 64% would say they preferred personal use. Only 13% of respondents preferred sharing or sharing services, a category that includes peer-to-peer, station-based, and free-floating services.
Most consumers prefer their own personal electric scooter often dictated by reluctance to share the vehicle with others and also because of the greater flexibility.
